Amy AlSheikh Thieme was raised in Katy, Texas and is a graduate of Taylor High School. She has been married to her husband for 27 years and they have two adult children.
Amy attended Baylor University and transferred to Houston Baptist University where she graduated with a BS in Mathematics. Upon graduating from HBU, she began teaching in Katy ISD where she met her husband, Jay Thieme, who also taught and coached in the district. Currently, Amy works at Re/Max Cinco Ranch as a realtor.
The Thieme family were members of Grace Fellowship Church for approximately 20 years. During this time, Jay and Amy ministered as small group leaders, worked with the youth ministry, and served as board members on the church council. Amy also attended Bible Study Fellowship in Katy and volunteered as a group leader for 6 years.
As the daughter of a Lebanese immigrant, Amy has a deep love and appreciation for the freedom and opportunities that are profoundly American. Amy’s passion is to assist students in being successful and reaching their full potential utilizing all this country affords them. After all, they are the future leaders of our community, state, and country!
